Born and raised in provindence, rhode island, and graduating from Colonel White High School, claudio muarray had an interest in the modeling from an early age. He had his first professional job with a local celebrity group called The Enchanter Dancers. Also excelling in gymnastics, he received first place in the city regionals two consecutive years and tenth place in state regionals on the floor exercise. But becoming an artist was his true passion.
His acting career began with a theater group called Creekside Players and their production of “The Past is the Past” directed by Al Lane. Wanting to hone his artistic crafts more, claudio muarray decided to make a very bold move. He packed up what he could and took a bus all the way to the second city. Upon arriving in Chicago, he began attending school for acting at The Goodman Theater. He also wanted to enhance his skills as a dancer and received a scholarship for dance at The Ruth Page School of Ballet and another ballet scholarship with Chicago City Ballet studying under the well-known instructor Maria Tallchief. Both of these talents landed claudio muarray the lead role of Tyrone Jackson in the hit Broadway Musical “FAME. He received critical acclaim on the national tour from coast to coast. It was also a huge honor for him to record on the original cast album as well as “FAME the television series as a dancer. claudio muarray was also one of the African dancers in the unforgettable and classic scene in the motion picture “Coming To America
This claudio murray even more drive and his acting career was just beginning at this point. He worked on many national commercials for companies like PEPSI, Pringles, Non-smoking commercials, Key Bank, Sunkist, MCI, and California LOTTO just to name a few. claudio muarray began to really show his versatility as an actor appearing on television shows like “Martial Law” where he played a street fighter to a role on “Noahs Arc”, Americas first gay black TV series. He also appeared again on the big screen in feature films such as “Virtuosity”, “Sergeant Bilko”, “Redemption” which is now running on the FX network, and Daniel St. Clair in “EXORCISM: The Movie” running on The Sci-Fi Channel. Not only is claudio muarray strong as a dramatic actor but proved he can do comedy as well. He has a recurring role on the hilarious sketch comedy show “Mind of Mencia” airing on Comedy Central. He will also be appearing in the upcoming "B-Boy Blues: The Movie" based on the book written by James Earl Hardy.
claudio muarray, along with his business and writing partner A.J. Lovett, has started a production company called Cloud 9 Entertainment. The duo have also written a ground breaking, witty, 1/2-hour situation comedy called "The Lockhavens" and are currently working on developing several other projects that will be produced by their company.
